Working with our Local Cultural Artists
Developing links with local artists and historians is an important part of the Queen Nzinga Saturday School curriculum. Our recent Autumn and Spring terms saw spoken word artist Sheda using African contributions to the Second World War as the backdrop for some inspiring poetry, fine artist Toni Lee centred her art using gouache session around the role of women in the Garvey movement and historian S.I Martin made history come to life for our young leaders by presenting and discussing primary sources from young Africans present in Georgian Britain.
