The Queen Nzinga Saturday School Club family of students, teachers, parents and cultural artists celebrated the successes of the past year on Saturday 26th June with a barbecue at Northolt Village Community Centre.
Louise Brown, the club’s curriculum lead, said, “It has been such a privilege to work with our local community to make the link between academic excellence and cultural excellence. I’m looking forward to continuing to be a part of developing a new generation of leaders when we start the new term in September.”
After performing a play for the audience, students received certificates for their hard work over the past 12 months. Food was provided by local chef and food technology expert Paulette Ennever.
Eric Huntley, local resident and owner of Bogle L’Ouverture Publishing was a special guest at the celebration.
